I thought long and hard on what could I Collect on my travels across the South Pacific without weighing the boat down with stuff? I tried carvings but they started to get big and cumbersome and unwieldy as well as I might have trouble getting them into some countries as they would be local wood or stone, the stone was okay but the wood could be a problem. Art work was of course not going to fit in the boat. What could I collect that would have meaning later in life and be small enough to not be a problem... I know a Drivers License... Now I knew I could get one in every island nation or kingdom. Great idea. Only trouble was that some of the drivers licenses were just a simple hand written piece of paper with little or nothing to tell where it was from while others were the opposite with laminated licenses just like here in the USA, picture an all!

I am not sure where these memories should fall with the context of any of my writings so as I they come to mind I will jot them down here and maybe some day they will make there way into the main body of work.  Until then please enjoy my ramblings...
